I think hair restrictions are arbitrary and just a waste of everyone’s time.
I was at a private school for 8th-10th (they finally kicked me out). I fought the dress codes endlessly. I wore the most outlandish things I could find that still fit in the letter of the law. The principal would try and reprimand me but I would just stick to the code book and ask where it said I couldn’t wear what I had on. It was great fun, but such a waste of all our time.
