saying that Mastodon (singular) is "worse now" (or whatever) illustrates a fundamental lack of understanding about what Mastodon is: open-source software (almost p2p in scope) that allows individual humans to own/control their own social media network. so, if the claim is "the user base is worse now," that's not a commendation on mastodon, that's a commendation on the human race.
