Problem is most consumer grade stuff is make very cheap and deliberately designed to have limited user serviceability. You can usually purchase an industrial version thats serviceable, but you will need to spend 2-3x, at which point it may just be more economical to just rebuy the consumer version multiple times and invest the price difference in bitcoin.
