I bought a CD from an artist on bandcamp. Inside the package, I found a handwritten note, saying they noticed I've bought all their CDs in the past and thanked me for the support. So now I have a CD, a high-quality digital version, a very nice handwritten note from the band, and some warm fuzzies. Three of those are mostly impossible, in this context, from a streaming service or music file download.
