If the UK's model of #capitalism puts consumer-led economic activity at the centre of its growth model, does the continuing grim data on consumer confidence indicate its a cause, an effect or perhaps a dialectical element (both reinforcing & being reinforced by the UK's weak economic record), in the UK's continuing economic doldrums.
