Musing about my last couple #Musicstadon questions.
When I go to buy something on vinyl, I kinda have a couple criteria items that sway me towards the purchase or not.
1. Is this an album where I would want to skip 1 or more songs?
Skipping tracks on vinyl is a pain in the butt, so it better be mostly things I'm willing to listen to.
2. Is there something interesting about the physical media itself?
Is it on colored vinyl? is it a picture disc? is it signed? Does it come with some cool artwork? cuz otherwise I'll just get the digital version.
As a result, my vinyl collection is _mostly_ things I like end-to-end.
This also tends to result in my vinyl collection being albums that are "homogenous" in some way. Like, y'know those bands where almost every song sounds mostly the same? wellp... yep. 😅
