AU (briefly) had a national climate change policy (until the conservatives repealed it). Rooftop solar (which is a somewhat inefficient system compared to large scale) is probably a bottom up reaction to that lack of action from national and state leaders. We have had very little success fighting the total capture of government by fossil fuel interests but at least we can put solar panels up.",
