my memory is imperfectly recalling something that I used to dump on rice as a teenager and it was good but I can’t remember it. it would’ve been:
- sour/vinegary in the same way that hot sauce is
- dark brown in colour? maybe?
- possibly spicy, but if so, less spicy than Frank’s buffalo sauce
- might’ve been sweet?
- would’ve been accessible to me as a teenager living in rural Alberta (access to a Superstore)
- thin texture. thicker than vinegar alone, thinner than ketchup
