Just as Obama had a good reason to support Solyndra (energy transition) Trump had a good reason to support Yellow (it did a lot of logistics work for the Pentagon). But while Solyndra was an attempt at industrial policy, the Yellow one was...sorta weird? There are a lot of logistics companies in the US. There is no obvious reason to give a failing outfit that much money.
