oranges and clementines are a superb fruit, like, waow
you have to peel the fruit carefully, using either nails or a sharp implement to pierce it, then slowly go through it, making sure to not tear the skin and leak its delicious juices, it's not extremely time consuming to do but it gives *anticipation* to the food, how will it taste? will it taste sweeter or more acidic? will i hate it? and as i watch it peel, i see its delicious internal organs, just begging to be removed in slice-like portions, only to then enjoy its delicate juices of the highest order, feeling it all explode in my mouth in having the best texture ever, a sort of hard yet mushy on the inside texture, which feels great, it almost feels like i've actually labored for it and not bought it from a place that is 5000 kilometers away from its point of origin, but it's just so, so good, incredibly good

and then, after i've devoured, completed, desecrated its corpse? there is another orange, there to give me another go at its flesh
