I was there in summer 1989 in Switzerland for a summer program, so didn't see the wall fall, etc. I have read that the "revenge travel" wave is nearly over: people caught up (and have less money) from their missed 2020–2022 plans. Our trip in June was basically one we had scheduled for June 2020—we got every penny refunded, including our travel insurance!
