Heya, did you know that in most countries in the northern hemisphere, the time when we see the highest amount of suicide attempts is the next few months? March to May often have the highest rates of attempts and completions.

A lot of people think there are high rates around winter holidays, but it's actually the opposite - people think to reach out then and there are parties and events to go to. And people kinda hunker down for winter too. But when it starts warming up, and there's not many seasonal events people are invited to, it feels like things should be getting better, but they're still struggling. Friends and family don't think to reach out and check in. So the isolation and dissonance just makes it all so much harder.

Take some time to check in with a friend or family member this week who might be having a hard time.
