McDonald’s Indonesia had to release a statement clarifying that the company is an independent entity not affiliated with any other McDonald’s companies and operations in other countries, after calls to boycott the restaurant following announcement by McDonald’s Israel that they’ve provided meals for thousands of IDF soldiers.

Other McDonald’s operations in the Middle East have made donations and provided support for Palestinians under siege in Gaza as well as release similar statements distancing themselves from the Israeli McDonald’s.
