I don't know but "has written and sold n books" doesn't seem an appropriate metric for the quality of a book to me. I can't understand how people consider this.
In opposite, it creates more skepticism in me. If it says "n millions sold" or "$newspaper bestseller list" I consider other books probably more interesting for me, except I already know the author, which would make the marketing claims useless, anyway.
