There are two reasons the SCOTUS needs to either immediately hear the arguments about presidential immunity or not agree to hear it at all.

1) The American voters need to know if Trump broke the law.
2) Biden needs to know if he can legally assassinate Trump while he is still in office.

If you think the second one is absurd, then you have a better grasp of the US Constitution than the SCOTUS.
