I took a walk through the meadow at the local park earlier this week and I was pleasantly surprised to see this American Lady Butterfly.

It is also known as the American Painted Lady and can be found in abundance across North and South America, spanning diverse climates and landscape forms. They make their home throughout the United States, southern Canada, and down south to Panama.
