Schmaker (nprofile…d8lr) My kickbike had basket mounted on handlebars, which I removed and now I somehow regret it (but I lost it meanwhile). I travel with backpack most of the time, even as pedestrian, and riding backpack on kickbike is (somewhat surprisingly) more comfortable than riding with backpack on bicycle.
Putting baggage on my bicycle makes it really very heavy to carry on stairs or lifting it to load onto train. It can be done, on occasional long journeys, but it is not something you want to do twice a day, every day.
So inventing really comfortable and straightforward multimodal is important... and also make it feel normal. I would feel normal with Brompton, but I feel somehow childish on kickbike.. but why? Kickbike is more lightweight, than Brompton, more pedestrian friendly and also slower, which means safer for older riders.
