A very German perspective on public #EV charging, AC vs. DC, #V2G
Yes, AC public charging in Germany is cumbersome, with restrictive time limits (3 or 4 hours) that do not match actual mobility patterns. That's why even DC / HPC chargers are 'blocked' by long-term parking because there is no good alternative for users (e.g. van drivers).
However, AC bi-directional charging is also being introduced by Renault, KIA/Hyundai and Volvo/Polestar.
