#OTD 6 July 1835 Aaron Lake died in Morgan County, Illinois, likely from malaria. His name repeats in the Lake family. Aaron was about 30 years old and left a widow, Lucinda, and two daughters, Rebecca and Angeline. Lucinda administered the estate, which provided family context not otherwise available. She remarried to John Carter, another repeating name. The daughters married and have been lost in the records. He was brother to my 4th-great-grandfather.
