Sunthemata27 on Nostr: University, as its original purpose has been distorted, i.e an institution ...
University, as its original purpose has been distorted, i.e an institution facilitating the journey to becoming a free human being, and forth subsumed under the techno-capitalist logic, resembles the modern work space milieu, another technical milieu, in almost all its aspects, except that the units attending the courses, are yet not fully functionally operative. As this hijacking has reached completion, we can now tangibly verify this, for example in the social domain of university live, as I guess most of us have attended uni; below are four points Moore has observed, with regards to social relations in the modern workspace, just substitute work with college, and see how applicable it is to our contemporary social dynamics in tertiary education.
1.Technical requirements of their work: they must not develop into deep relationships.
2.They must be universal, meaning they must be fulfillable by any person, even someone new to the job or with other relationships outside of the work environment.
3.Relationships must be rational, as the entire technical work complex follows rational rules.
4. The relationships must be impersonal
