That half of the workers, given an ultimatum between stay remote and be removed off promotion path and commute 3 days to an office, chose to stay remote, should make the people that decided of that policy be fired for cause.
It's ultimately management failure, and an indictment of the promotion policies and/or the office policies and RTO.
But it never work that way.
