This WaPo story from a few days is really something and doesn't fit the economic narrative of either political party who both, (one thought it was a hoax, the other has decided to stop caring) believe that nothing needs to be done about Covid anymore 🙄
The US, temporarily and incredibly, constructed a safety net at the beginning of the pandemic , which included major health care coverage, food benefits, and other funding for families & kids who were in poverty, and then, has, over the last year, proceeded to systematically demolish it.
