No worries, I'm not that sensitive. And no, I wouldn't say your responses are "unjustified"; they're pretty reasonable considering the way the world is like currently.
But when talking about a sci-fi future, maybe even sci-fi utopia in the case of Trek, hearing "yeah but we can't have that because vendor lock-in" just feels… limited? As if it _has_ to be that way. Like giving up on the dream of things just working and people actually cooperating.
Does that make sense?
