This is a topic close to my heart because I grew up in the South in the Southern Baptist church during the Civil Rights struggles, and saw at close hand how white Christians all around me were perfectly content with the racism we all grew up with, and how the white church was a bastion of resistance to racial justice. Those experiences have shaped me and my commitments for life.",
