Matt Warren ⚡ on Nostr: I'm not trying to be a dick, but there are a lot of new things in tech all the time ...
I'm not trying to be a dick, but there are a lot of new things in tech all the time and it would be a nightmare for serious codebases to just move to something as immature as Nost or whatever any time people got excited about something new. It's a pain in the ass for me to use Nostr most days just to fuck around on social media. I can't imagine trying to move an entire project for no major benefit with fingers crossed that it's going to be reliable for me, especially if I'm not the only one accessing a repo. Just my two sats. Give it 3-5 years and people will move if it has merit. GitHub and GitLab are quite mature and work very well.
I suspect so few people are talking about it for some of the same reasons. It just isn't compelling enough yet.
