Isn't that a problem with almost all chocolate, because it's grown in poor African countries where leaded gasoline was still common until less than a decade ago, because oil co's had tons of supply leftover from the 50s to 70s and sold it cheap? And it takes decades to remove heavy metals from an environment?
When I can afford it, I buy South/Central American chocolate, which usually tests better, e.g.
