How was this supposed to work anyway? We magically cut production of oil and still sustain our needs while also building solar, wind, batteries, nuclear, etc faster at an unprecedented rate and then installing all of that new infra without somehow requiring any oil to do that in the first place?
It takes a LOT of energy to build renewables at scale. Does everyone just ignore that when they do the math?
