I've been seeing 3D models of in-place printing (that is, no assembly required) practical bearings, in a variety of metric and imperial sizes. Is it actually practical to 3D print a bearing that way? Tested with a small bearing with a 3MF file (these can contain all the required printing parameters, not only the model itself per se).
And here it is. After printing, I only had to insert a tiny screwdriver and give a minuscule push to free the internal structures. Spins very smoothly, would no doubt be even more impressive if lubricated. Proof that on a well calibrated modern printer (like the Bambu A1 as in this case), these tiny tolerances actually work. Pretty amazing.
