Hmm, never heard of the latter. Sounds kind of anti-intellectual, but I'd have to read it.
As an atheist I believe moral relativism to be more of a 'fact of life' than a true belief set. that is to say, it's just acknowledging the reality of different ethical and moral frameworks existing.
No human on earth, even the most reddit of atheists believes truly in moral relativism, because they wouldn't say indian cannibal religions are on the same level as christianity. And no human truly believes man is on the level of animal, proven by the fact that every human on earth would consider a human murder worse than the slaughter of an animal.
Of course, without reading i can give no true critique. perhaps i'll give this a read too, it's only 75 pages.
