Today we drove through Certeze, a village in the Saru Mare region of #Romania where all of the young people went to Western Europe (mostly France) as some of the first Romanians to work elsewhere after the EU came in. They're all rich and built huge houses back home... which no one lives in except the old people. It's an empty village full of gauche mansions occupied only by grandmas.
