Here is this ridiculous comedy romp, with all kinds of hilarious and satirical supernatural shenanigans going on, and here comes Bill Nighy with an absolutely lovely bit of dialogue about his regrets as a stepfather raising Shaun, delivered without a hint of irony in such a simple, sincere manner, about a subject that any father can relate to. Classic stuff.
