Great, but do you understand what is being talked about ?

A Protocol has one main function:
Provide the intended service and as uninterrupted as possible.

So as long as the protocol does that, any change is only a risk to its main function.

That is the difference..
I don't use very little used words, add some made up prefixes in an attempt to give it more weight, and don't have to reference to big names out there in an attempt to explain what I don't understand myself.

I can put it is a simple understandable line of text.
