While I was still at the CU, I talked to my team and our culture committee about using inclusive language in tech. My boss was on board with making the effort to trade outdated terms with racist implications for more sensible and straight forward terms (ie instead of master and slave using primary and secondary, etc).

A month later he told me that no one used any of the replacement terms so it was confusing for him when dealing with vendors and partners.

And I told him we could just be the first in our area to change then. 🤷🏻‍♀️
