First off, David Crosby (who I LOATHE), Graham Nash & Stephen Stills never once stepped out of their vanilla little boxes in any truly measurable way, & neither would have ever had the balls to release something like Trans.
I find it to be incredibly moving; Young’s attempt to talk to his silent cerebral palsy-stricken son, using a Synclavier & vocoder.
It’s a phenomenal record in both substance AND intention.
