One thing I'm a little jealous of America for is that, unlike the rest of the world, they aren't totally dependent on WhatsApp. That's the one Meta property that I can't get rid of. I don't want to move to Signal or Telegram or iMessage or anything else owned by anyone else; I wish we all just used text messages.
