Never mind the federated feed, does anyone actually scan their local timeline on Mastodon Social, or other big sites? They may be meaningful to small instances, but on the large ones they are just roiling rivers of the same random noise that plagues most social media services. Occasional outbursts of excellence interrupting a flowing cacophony of streaming ID blither. You might as well scan YouTube music chats. Which is probably a good facsimile of what hell is like.
