It might not just be a fedi thing, but it’s prevalent enough on the fediverse that Alec felt it was worse for his mental health than Bluesky. I’ve had to leave Lemmy for similar reasons so can certainly relate. I think Mastodon is looking at improving things so hopefully the technical aspect will be sorted out, but the cultural aspect… IDK.
