Yesterday, I installed one of those Omada devices in the hallway, replacing the 'old' Mikrotik. My wife, seeing a much larger gadget, looked at it skeptically, though she didn't criticize (fortunately, she never does because she knows anything I install at home is necessary for experimenting with devices I'll also use in the office and with clients). I was unsure about the blue LED - whether to keep it on or turn it off as I usually do - and I forgot to turn it off. Last night, there was a brief power outage, but the access points (like other network devices) are on an uninterruptible power supply. She found herself in complete darkness in the room, while the faint, yet visible, blue light of the access point in the hallway allowed her to get out and reach me in the studio. Suddenly, she's become a fan of these devices and asked me to add more around the house 😄
