While most AFAB NBs usually are enough clockable (we're making clockability here part of the door policy!) as AFAB and are fine, not all of them are. Some can pass as cis male too. AMAB NBs tend to have it even worse (hiiiii! :3). This policy crafts a notion of enbyness that basically says "a cis woman who wears male clothing". Beards? No, not female enough to be non-binary.
And hey, there are a lot of trans women who don't (want to) pass for the same reasons either. Some of us don't even look "sufficiently trans". Oh and don't get me started on trans mascs at a FLINTA* event. Basically passing trans dudes need to strip completely to show off their mastek scars and they will still get looks.
And agender? I seldom see agender people in FLINTA* spaces... except for the "passes as female" category and they're basically only included because of the F. While they aren't even F but A. It sucks to be only included in an event for you... if you purposefully get misgendered.
I know FLINTA* works for many women (cis or trans), but that's about it. It's a "women allowed but we don't want to be openly transphobic" policy. So instead we discriminate against literally every letter in FLINTA* but make it a bit more non-obvious.
