Things are cooking away nicely in the kitchen today. Buckwheat and mung khichdi-style with 2 veg and spices for breakfast, with a small shot of the nutritional broth I made yesterday. #healthyeat
#Dosa batter is fermenting nicely.
A heap of toor dal is cooked mostly for the freezer but also for some Moringa/Drumstick Pod Sambar tonight (drumsticks from the freezer*). I am using the Sambar recipe from my new book #ChettinadCookbook by Meyyammai Murugappan. It uses multiple veg but I prefer to stick to one only (I was trained by #MeenakshiAmmal via her books 😄 )
The great thing about this recipe is that the instructions are for a pressure cooker, so I can use the Instant Pot. Leftovers might be for breakfast or lunch tomorrow.
*When I see drumsticks in the Asian or Indian groceries I grab some and freeze them for future me.
