For example in my fiction Empire of Blood, Kingdom of Dvar, American Empire and Void Industrialists can't rule forever due to inherent contradictions. Void Beyond will annihlite Earth due to void technology and Empire of Blood will consume everything due to ever-increasing blood demands.
