I just paid $5 for two pieces of candy (nerds rope and a large laffy taffy) at a convenience store and $9 for a hot tea and a glorified cookie ("Protein Puck" -- kinda nice, actually) at a local (not chain) coffee shop today, and I'm wondering what the heck has happened to our world.
I remember buying bottled soda for $1 at vending machines at work in 2010 and feeling ripped off. Now they're like $2-3 everywhere.
