Oh, sorry, I didn’t mean it was purely a coincidence of interest. I mean that we do benefit (materially, psychologically, spiritually, etc) from pro-sociality, so the idea of explaining it as “selfish” or “altruistic” doesn’t even make *sense.* They’re artificial categories that constrain human motivation into neat boxes that don’t actually map onto the human experience.
