mattn (npub1937…haj6) I follow Mattn; however, on Nostr he posts exclusively in Japanese, which I
don't understand. So I wrote a program to repost his posts in English.
My first version just translated and posted as new posts; this being Nostr, this
meant that often the posts were without much context, and cryptic. So I changed
them to NIP-10 replies, but now they don't show up at all in a timeline. I
believe this is because they're not top-level, and clients don't show replies
except in context of the original. I'm quite concerned about accidentally
spamming comments with bot replies, so the bot only posts to my relay
and doesn't include the source relay reference -- and don't get included in my
TL of mattn posts.
I'll have to rethink this, or maybe just use REPLY differently.
