As often as it happens, it should not be surprising people are so easily convinced by the core populist logic that some “other” is source of their woes and making things worse for those other people will somehow make their lives better.
What amazes me is that people don’t catch on that it’s not some disenfranchised, vulnerable population behind the curtain–but the frickin’ rich people. It’s the rich people. Always.
