I joined the Fediverse a while back as a solution to Big Tech algorithms, censorship, and data mining. I even ran a few of my own instances on my own servers. It seemed like the ultimate solution, but then COVID hit and the community became divided. Entire servers got blocked, which eventually chopped the Fediverse into little dictator ran islands. I finally left feeling a bit demoralized over social media.

Then NOSTR showed up. I lurked a bit and only recently decided to post here. I dare say, I am once again excited about social media and where it might go. Now I must find my people and build my tribe while sharing great content and making genuine connections.
