As far as I'm concerned, until such a time as #[0] has on onboarding experience as simple as #[1]'s, search by default, and can be relied upon for simple things like assuring users that they can actually see all replies to a post, Mastodon is not a viable replacement for Twitter for most people, despite Twitter's continuing rapid degeneration.
