I think I violated the Prime Directive Friday.
I retuned an item to a local dry cleaner for additional repair and they pulled out a paper pad to write up the order.
I asked about that and well, their 2017 ticketing system died. It’s Windows XP (finicky about hardware changes) and amazingly, the WD drive is fine at 75k hours/8.5 years. It’s images and the files are copied out and… let’s see if this power supply replacement is enough or if the motherboard has an issue.
The thought crossed my mind to virtualize it but 1. XP and 2. Serial and Parallel ports.
Newer hardware compares about ACPI compatibility and yeah.
