It's a degenerative thing. Boomer and Gen-X didn't cross wires on sex and cartoons as much, even when some of the anthropomorphized characters were drawn sexy. Over time, the line blurred, and we got full-on furries. But keep in mind the furry thing started with some Gen-X. It was small in the beginning and grew to a huge furpile.
