Here's the latest in #AsiaPacific (#APAC) region.

1. The US openly supported #SouthKorea #SoKor (the #Korea) re: the recent #Russia - #NoKor / #NorthKorea formal military alliance, by sending ships.

2. #Japan, today, sent ships to South Korea for joint exercises.

---

If you've read my previous APAC post about our part of the world, it is becoming very clear that Japan, Korea, and the #Philippines, are in the forefront of the issues surrounding China, North Korea, and Russia.

All the while, the #USA is acting by pushing joint exercises and sending ships.

Yes, a formal Japan-Korea-Philippiness alliance (with confederation as the future end-goal), is badly needed. We need strengthen how these three Nations work.

Currently, we're disconnected. We each act on our own. We don't share enough information with each other (if we are even sharing anything).

On top of that, like it or not, we also need to take care of our respective economies. And an alliance between Japan, South Korea, and the Philippines, that goes beyond a military alliance, can and is and will be very beneficial for all three; which in turn will ensure it can be force to reckoned with.

This is what China and the US have, they're strong economically and politically, not just militarily. These three aspects works hand-in-hand, and Japan, Korea, and the Philippines lack in each. If we combine our resources, we can help each other in all three areas.

Otherwise, the current status quo will remain the same, and the US, China, North Korea, prefers it that way. Should we (Japanese, Koreans, and Filipinos) just let those superpowers do whatever they want in our region?
